Carbon Fiber Wrapped

Why would someone carbon fiber wrap a kayak? Could this possible hide any problems with the hull?

...For looks.

Sure it could hide problems with the hull.

You got any pictures you want to share of it?

It makes it lighter. Wrap in carbon and all that carbon cloth n resin will take pounds off the total weight.

Most likely it was done just for looks...I hope your not thinking it's real carbon fibre cause it's not...it's just a big sticker with a carbon fiber pattern printed on it. Shouldn't effect anything...or maybe zeds right...?

That's just CF-style vinyl. Vinyl wrapping stuff for aesthetics is pretty popular these days.

Seriously though. My dad did wrap his prowler keel in some carbon cloth. And that really strenthened that weak point. It scratched concrere after that mod.

But the PA is wrapped like a surface iron or a taco truck most likely.

its a cover up for a bad sticker or something. Like those guys with the 6" wide black bar all the way around their arms.
