1st Yellow on Yak

I've been out to kelp beds screwing around a number of times for calicos and whatnot, but on Tuesday July 7th I actually tried for yellows.

Just a couple hour trip after work.. but once I got to the kelp beds I saw everyone hooked up (the other two yaks..) so I was feeling optimistic.

I trolled some spanish for a half hour with no luck. Made some more bait and ended up with a bonito the size of a small football. With the F-it mentality, I rigged up the bonito and was onto my first yellow on a yak within 30 seconds.

Bonitos are on the menu, I wasn't sure haha.

Stoked and headed out next when the swell calms down.
