Closer to SD than where? Cabo? Not too many spots I'd like to do in 1 day, but plenty for over nights or longer. Gonzaga is an easy drive, for Baja, has great fishing potential, and plenty of places to stay. On the PAC side the closest Id recomend is the marina in La Salinas. Head out and south. Never been there but i know Punta banda can be good. South of there Erandira, punta China, Colonet, and Camalu can all have great fishing. Usually bass n rock fish, but shots at yt, wsb, halis. The San Quitin area has great fishing in the bay, bay mouth, and south of the bay at Pabellons, El Tranquilo and Socorro. FYI, el tranguilo is often very not tranquil. Aftrt that access is a bit harder till you get to El Rosario and Punta Baja. The great deal about a yak in Baja is that if you can get to the water its a spot. Hope this helps. Mike
