kayak camping Catalina

About 5 of us have been talking about kayaking and camping at Catalina this is what we hope we can do

Some how get our yaks over to the island take the express over there load our gear paddle to camp is this even possible?

Anyone have any tips or advise on how accomplish this any info will help

MARINA DEL REY FLYER USED TO TAKE YAKS ,CAMPING GEAR,COOLERS ECT, BUT THEY ARE NO LONGER IN BES WENT DONE THIS TWICE TO TWO HARBORS THEN GET GEAR HAUL TRUCK TO TAKE OUR STUFF TO LITTLE HARBOR AND CAMP IN THE CAMP GROUNDS FUN TRIP BUT EXPENSIVE GEAR HAUL TRUCK WAS 300.00 SO NOW YOU WOULD HAVE TO FIND WAY TO GET YOU STUFF OVER THERE

If I do it again, I'll just use their rental kayaks, take the bus to Little Harbor and have it waiting there to use.

Agree rental

We did it couple years ago rental was nice and easy would recommend bring your own kayak seat for comfort. Caught a lot of sheephead on frozen squid and calico bass.
