Where to check for weather and conditions?

where does everyone go to check for swells and weather conditions prior to a trip? what have you found to be the most accurate?

Thinking about going to la Jolla tomorrow if it isnt to bad out there.

Weather

NOAA.gov .punch in la jolla shores, California or la jolla , California . Bwe has the scripts pier glider report that is very accurate for real time wind report . You can find that on the home page . I use surfline for surf report or magic sea weed ( magic liar ) . With surfline it's very accurate for the pier , of course it can be three foot at pier and flat at launch . That's when I check the cam and check swell directions and intervals . My understanding is that long intervals will primarily be baffled out from the canyon . Hope this helps some .

The swells usually are not as big as it says where we launch.

. It's actually pretty accurate also . Surfline and M S are your best options .

Stick my head out the window. hair comes back like I stuck it out, wind not blowing. Head comes back in dry, not raining.

Reminds me of the weather rock

In front of Channel Islands landing . The rock is hanging by a chain . If the rock is wet , it is raining . If the rock is moving back and forth , it is blowing like heck . If the rock is submerged , there is a sunami .

Magicseaweed or tides4fishing, Best bet is finding a cam though and looking for yourself. I feel like the majority of guys crawl out of bed look at the conditions in text and throw in the towel on what is in reality an ideal day to fish.
