Chasing Whales Movie
Was out a LJ a few weeks ago and due to the slow fishing, and my severe A.D.D. I decided to chase some whales and see if I could get some good footage.
Mission accomplished, although I am sad I went for the underwater footage, what I saw sitting on top was awesome! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDbJwSBOpu8 |

Good footage. My new residence as of March 1st is in the area where they end their migration and have their calves. The mothers seem to encourage their calves to interact with humans and enjoy being petted. Not sure I want to try that on a kayak but we'll see.

Rossman - That would be amazing, I would guess in that situation they are just floating around the surface relaxing. Maybe a good time to get in the water for some underwater footage! (provided it is legal of course )
Dannowar - Yep same morning we spoke. The whales were all over the place, some just heading strait south, others seemed to be diving and hanging out a bit, like the last group I ran into in the video. You diving this weekend? |
