SD Bay 2/1

Beautful day on the bay, but more crowded than I thought for Super Bowl day. So my intention was to go catch a legal 'but, but I didn't. Right off the bat I hooked one that "felt" legal and dumped him. Then pretty much nuthin for a few hours. I ended up with 3 more shorts, a nice sand bass, and one sculpin which I took home to eat. Not bad for my first time in the yak after about 2.5 months. Felt good to be back. More later...

Hey Janine I believe I met you last night right by the bait barge.... I was in the red OK and my girl friend was in the blue one.... We had a fair amount of luck with one keeper and a few barely legals!

I should have held out a little longer. You had the tide just right too. Good for you. That's a beauty!

Charter

I recently went on a trip from Point Loma. I was in the beginning of Jan and rockfish season was closed. We were allowed to keep the sculpin. We were told that sculpin was still open. Where can I go for clarification on that?
