Perfect Conditions...

This is my favorite time of the year...easy limits of Bonito doing backflips out of the water to chase the hooch daisy chain...a chance at a big local Yellow on the iron...and lots of crawling Bugs....add some flat calm water in Lake Palos Verdes, some warm Santa Ana winds, and a full moon...YEA!!!

Double limits by 7:30 on Thursday night and by 8pm yesterday.

Get our there...the weather is perfect...!

Way to go!

Its been a little scratchy for me, got some zero's on my card and the loss of an ambush net didn't really help.

nice haul. why do you tie back the antenna?

It's time to break out of my comfort zone. So far this year, 1 lost net. no zeros, but no 7s either.

freezer photo

For anybody that asked for the location...I've PM'd you the numbers...LOL...!!! Why is that always the first question asked???
The antennas are tied back and the legs are tucked in and the tail is rolled under...That photo is of a bunch of frozen Bugs in the freezer.
It's easier to stack them that way. If I'm only going to leave them in there for a short time it's a lot easier for me to just freeze the whole Lobster.
We had Coconut Milk - Ginger marinated Lobster last night for dinner...it's a pretty simple dish and it's Delicious!
Remove the meat from the tail and chop into chunks then marinate for about an hour or two....
The marinade is...2-3 cloves garlic thinly sliced
Fresh Ginger peeled and grated
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1/3 cup coconut milk
Grated zest of lime
1/4 cup of chopped fresh basil leaves
3 tablespoons sesame oil
Sea salt and ground pepper to taste
