best tips for new to sd fisherman!

So what's your best tips? I have rod floats and leashes ready to add to all rods and everything else. Now to the local stuff. What's the skinny on the fishing here? Kelp beds? Mission bay? Off shore? Inshore?

Best tip I can give you is read, read ,read as many post as you can.
Pick a topic, do a search and you will be amazed at how much information you will come up with.

Also check out the post "Share your innovations" good info there also.

In the bays, keep you bait on or as close to the bottom as possible. Cant go wrong for bass and butts that way.
