He didnt waterproof it, it comes like that from the factory.

I used dielectric grease in the connector and black silicone over it after connecting power. Trying to disconnect/connect after launch and/or the lack of dielectric grease probably didn't help with previous failures, but this stopped the problems I had with previous setups.
