Mission Bay 5-19
Headed to MB even with the wind warnings was blowing 8 to 10 at 7am and we choose sailbay to hang our luck on having had a good bite during the tournament. The wind blowing out of the south pushed us the long way down the bay. Down to my second to last tin roller that has seen better days so straightened it out and added a white grub for a trailer. Ed has been having luck with a new penny Z man and the closeset I have is a Pumpkin Spice Zoom Fluke That I uni Buttered up and started my drifting. The wind picked up to 20n to 25 made the long drift and paddled back and did it again 3 times. The blade was hot ticket again with 8 fish 2 of them legal on the blade and 3 fish on the Buttered up Fluke one of them being legal. Through in the towel about 11 when the wind kicked up toward 30. GOT TO SAY A ANOTHER GREAT DAY ON THE WATER EVEN IN THE WIND

Steve, you pretty much spanked me today. I had 6 spotties and one Yellow Fin Croaker (first I've ever had on plastic). Only one spotty was legal. I didn't have any one bait that did best. Got them on a white and chartreuse blade, 4" FLurry in Minnow Magic, and Paddlerz in New Penny and Rootbeer/gold flake. Hot Sauce for flavor. The wind was super annoying, in fact I got pissed off a few times and was really grumpy. It never let up from the time we paddled out, it only got worse. Adding to that was the fact that I kept dumping fish 1/2 way to the yak. Or, having the bait foul on the hook. Lots of pants being pulled down too. Did I mention I got grumpy?
But, I got a few and it was good hanging out.
