La Jolla turd roller

Clocked about 14hrs. In lj yesterday from 1:30am to 3:30 pm. Didn't get the target I was looking for though there were several missed hits and allot of nervous baits. Got this sandy yoyoing a scrambled egg sumo jr. Cpr'd. Went home with a few rockfish, sore butt and a sunburn, but learned allot as I always do when I fish Lj. Maybe next week. I'm happy for those with beginners luck but it looks like I'll be one of those that need a 100 trips under my belt to nab a biscuit. The Grey whales were playing all day. I saw one completely catch air about 50yrds starboard of another kayaker.

Every trip out there I learn a little more. The more times you hook up and loose it, the more hungry it makes you. At least at 1:30 AM you don't have a problem at the temporary loading zone. I share your pain of knowing what to do and use, even seeing them at times, but making many trips to try and get one. You have to make the trips because when the times comes if your not out there you can't catch one. Tight Lines Will. Thanks for posting.
