Lowrance LSS-2 outside or inside mount?
I am getting ready to put some new gear on the PA and was hoping to hear if anyone has the Lowrance LSS-2 transducer on their ride. I was hoping to wet mount it inside the Hobie. Anyone try this? I ordered a Ram mount to hang it over the side if that doesn't work. Thanks Steve |

I would recommend that you hang it over the side. Also that you don't drill any extra holes on your PA to mount it. You are going to find that your not going to use it all the time, just because of the trouble of having a huge transducer aboard. I only hook it up when I want to scan stuff. Otherwise the structure scan unit and transducer is in my truck or in my garage.

Thanks. I will use the ram mount then and hang it over the side. How well is it working for you in salt water?
