Prepping the yak for the Derby

The pad eyes on my Trident have decided the fail all around the same time. Getting the relevant ones replaced at Oceanside Dive and Kayak. All stainless for the seat anchors.

Be sure to check your yaks for safety issues every so often.

I was thinking a lightning rod might be needed that day....

"Cloudy with rain likely. A thundershower is possible as well, especially in the morning. High 62F. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 80%. Rainfall near a half an inch."

Just came back from Minnesota with -7 degree temps, blizzard, and honestly, this does not sound so bad compared to that. The fish are already wet, I don't think they will care. I'm sure the eyes will be watching the forecast for next week as it gets closer.
