Rockfishing spot for SUP

I thought I would throw this out there. Not asking for any inside info but I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a couple of locations good for rockfish in the Del Mar, Solana beach area. I am on a SUP and don't have all the electronics. Just a fanny pack and a fishing rod stuffed into the ol' wetsuit. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Look for lobster traps, they are on the reefs and rockpiles, 120-180 feet. Good luck!

I go off of dog beach just south of villa de la valle a lot during the summer. If you paddle north a bit from there and out you will hit the kelp. I haven't really gone for rock fish but the calico fishing is usually fun. I do see a lot of SUP fisherman inside that same kelp line.
