Thinking about picking up an Avet MXL 5.8
I'm pretty new to kayak fishing and was wondering what rod to pair it up with?
I currently have a calstar 870 w/ daiwa seagate 40h |

The rod would depended on what line you want to fish. I fish off boats but have two. One i fish 20 pound on a calstar 670L. And one I fish 25 pound on a 800m calstar.

Get the 2 speed
You can pick up a used one send it to avet and for about 30 or 40 $ they will replace all bearings and make it like new again |

One speed with shimano Tallus rod. Rated 65 pound spectra. Perfect combo
