anywhere I launch from seems to be a bad area.. Just stay 30 feet away and you will be fine.

1:Malibu pier.Left side of pier usually flat, good for beginners.Head north fish kelp and some rock structure!!

2:Corral Bch.Shorebreaky spot.head north towards Latigo Cyn and fish the kelp!!!

3:Escondido(Esco).Fish north or south.North just pass the Paradise Cove pier
is now an MLPA.Cant fish BKR anymore!!!From the pier north 4-5 miles to just around Decker Cyn is Closed!!!

4:Leo Carrillo:South of the surfers point you can park on PCH,Carry all gear down 30 or so stairs to bch. This spot can be tricky, waves break further out
and will get you.Timing and luck are your friends here.Kelp to the north and south.

And check the mlpa maps

Or you can pay to park on the north side of the point, and pretty much be right on the sand. This side is more shore pound.

5:County LIne.This is a surf spot and get sketchy when the surf is over 2-3 foot.If ur going to flip, this the spot!!Fish the kelp,or paddle out to deep hole(about a mile)

Hope this helps,Pm me if you need more detailed info!!!!

Have you ever gotten live bait at marina del rey? I m thinking about fishing there sometime soon and i know theres a bait barge there. Do they give bait to kayaks? Do i have to paddle to the bait barge or is accessible by car?

In Malibu:
also Deer Creek and Zero beach are good areas in Malibu. (make sure the surf is low)

In Santa Monica:

Topanga Canyon, Will Rogers beach, then you have Marina del Rey, and Redondo.

Malaga Cove, tough walk down and up the hill (forget that)

and of course cabrillo beach
