Memorial Day LJ Outer Rocks

Saw some yellows breeze past, threw the iron. Saw no tankers in the
kelp. Had a fun time anyway.

Reds, well-bled and iced.

Awesome as always Larry, perfect example of how you don't need tankers to have a good day of fishing

There are rock piles scattered all over in LJ. I go find them straight out from the launch. You can also get rock fish in the kelp right off the bottom. I use my modified drop shot set up.

I see 10 rockfish which is the limit and one ling cod which has a limit of two. Looks to me like he could have kept one more Ling cod. Great catch. Thanks for the nice report and photos.

Stocked up on reds. I love the non-LJShores launch action. Its not all about the Shores/cove as we see in these pics. Thanks for the post. I need to find those numbers.

I released a lot of fish that day, reds, whitefish along with some big calicos.

Technically regarding limits of the species shown, I could have kept one
more vermillion (or other rockfish, cabezon, or greenling "RCG"), ten
whitefish, and two lingcod.

Whitefish and lingcod are not part of the "RCG Complex"..... This stuff gets
complicated to sort out and count, when all the fish are iced down in the
front hatch!

That's some awesome fishing there! Nice ling too! Hopefully we'll get into some good rockfishing this weekend!

There's a certain level of commitment that very few possess. You're clearly one of them, Larry.

It just blows my mind, though. Tap tap tap, boom---gotcha!
