Point Loma kelp

Just had a game @ Point Loma Nazarene, whooped that ass btw. Anyways I couldnt help but notice all the surfers that were right there and think that there must be a way down to the water. Has anyone fished there? Anyone down to try it out? Seems like a short enough paddle.

Careful you don't go into the mlpa closure area. Cabrillo SMR, Pt Loma (above) - No fishing. The southern boundary extends roughly 1300 feet south of Pt Loma, and extends east roughly 1200 feet from the southern tip of point including the area just south of the lighthouse. The northern boundary is one cove south of the sewage treatment plant.

I went to school there. The dorm down by the water has surfboard racks. You can get to the water from the campus. I don't really remember if there was a steep climb down the rocks... there is a bit of sand you could launch from.

It is a bit of a climb down to the beach. You'll never get a kayak down there, but a surf rod would be the ticket. No different than the access to any of the other PL surf spots though. I think Garbage Beach is actually easier to get to.
