Battery Level indicator?

Has anyone installed some type of battery level indicator on their yak? I’m not very electrical incline but I’d like to install something that would provide some type of level indicator. I’m thinking of something a long the line of a dual Volt/Amp meter or maybe just a volt meter.

Can someone tell me if there is something better?

If you want an actual gauge then something that has coulomb counting is the way to go. It basically measures the current with the time to give actual capacity used. This would need to be calibrated and may drift over time. For most batteries a volt meter is sufficient. An amp meter won't really contribute much.

Because I have half a dozen batteries I guess the gauge wouldn't make sense. I'll go with teh voltmeter.

Thanks,

So far it ran my FF for 8 hours on two trips. Im going to tap into it and run a string of LED lights soon. Lately I've only been able to hit the water once every three weeks. I'm going to start taking days off and goduring work hours :d. I'm just waiting for more faverible reports. Are you going to the fish with friends terniment?
