Finally got my PA finished...now just gotta get it in the water. Hit me up if you want to get out there. In Ventura.

Relocated from there to SD a few months ago. What are you trying to target and where are you going to primarily be going?

Target anything that bites....lol. Figure I got a top notch setup, want to explore the water and try to find anything, just being on the water is great. I'll probably be the guy you read about in the newspaper who got lost trying to paddle to the islands(this is on the bucket list). If I got someone who's as crazy as me great...if not, i'll hit it solo, either way I'm going.

Awesome, where are you going to start? The kelp at Leo or Deer Creek?

Not sure. Ventura Harbor is in my backyard so I figure I'll just come out there before I get to crazy. Know anything about the military bases? I have access to both bases...I know behind the range is good halibut country but you can't go when the red flag is up.

I was stationed in Hueneme, lots of bugs in the back harbor. I fished Mugu like nobodies business for leopards and guitarfish, but thats not where you want to go. Go to Leo or Deer Creek kelp on a calm day, and since the kelp is SO CLOSE to shore you wont be freaking out. Ive seen......everything.... in that kelp or around it! Flatfish, troll the jettys close up to the rocks. Sheephead out by the breakers, again calm days you don't want to end up in the news being splattered on the rocks you just want to get lost at sea right? Hope that helps!
