Well launched shortly after Andy, my man Mike and I headed on out to a deep spot only to find Yellows boiling on the top!! Quickly grabbed my iron rig and got bumped and miss only to see my boy Mike goin' full BENDO!!! Mike quickly takes care of business bringing in a beautiful 22.8 oz YT on the deck. The boils disappeared and back I went to throwing deep iron a few minutes later and BENDO for me!!! Lot's and lot's of back and forth and even some headshakes has me praying for a bigger, fatter yt than I have seen in awhile ......all por nada.....big nasty soupfin shark that wasn't real stoked about having an iron stuck in his grizill for bling! Bummer but a fun experience to say the least, thanks Mike for the assist in the release of my toothy critter! Wound up grinding up a cuda at the end of the day also.
Nice to finally meet you Dan, Andy, Vito, Jimbo and Sarcastic!!! Nice day on the water and I will be out again tomorrow!! Looking for my own |

Nice morning...good to meet you Matt and LP-Jimbo. Great fish Mike.
I got a good tow from a ~80# Black Sea Bass...Andy got an action shot. Thanks. I was hoping for a 70# WSB lol But 10 minutes into it I knew I knew I'd just have to wait it out... Easy release, beautiful fish. |
