2 fer 2 This Week

Lauched at 10:00am on calm water - gentle breeze. Made 1/2 dozen Spanish and headed for open water. Slow trolled NorthWest and got picked up on a flyline which unfirtunately camed unbuttoned while I was clearing the deep trool line. Got lucky on the next drift and landed this nice yeller.

Wind picked up on the way in around 2:00 - but small surf / swell. Very little baot / yak traffic which suprised my after reading Tues / Wed reports.

Go gettum fellas - they are cruising.

Cris,
Nice going! Here is your fish. Looks pretty chunky to me.

Wow, good for you!!!. I guess my comment to you on the beach paid off ?. "It will only get better from here on out ! - good luck out there" ( guy in the white expedition). very nice yellow. I was out at 5am and in at 10. Absolutely slow out there. perfect conditions though... trolled 2 lines w/ spanish 50' off kelp line all the way to the pb-foray and back for nodda. saw no other hook ups?. what's the deal ? any predictions/... Good going Chris and good to see you out there.Wind chop and swell made for a wet afternoon. Hooked up on bait only to lose it. Second hook up was on the iron and added a small 10-12 pounder to the freezer. Third hook up made the afternoon even though i didnt land the fish. I hooked a bonita about 2 pounds only to have a very large yellow inhale it right at the side of the yak (holy s!%t) It made several long runs before chucking my iron with a very mashed bony still attached.
