i've got some rods i picked up in Japan... they ain't no Shimanos. lol.

why shimanos? i like the action and feel and kinda know which models i like.

why you have some Japanese rods you want to sell?
might be a little far to go shop for rods

i was in Japan for 2 years. otherwise it would be a little far, but well worth it if you ever get the chance.

I'll throw out my 2 cents.
Take a look around... Shimano's rods are just more mass produced tackle. They're good, don't get me wrong. But the blanks they use are nothing special.
I'm not sure how much you want to spend, but you might look at something built on a North Fork Composite blank or a Rainshadow.
There are a lot of good rod manufacturers that make what you want.

I've got a Compre, eva split grip. Think it's 7'2" 8-14#. A little heavy for what I use it for. Pretty much new, only used a couple times. Let me know if you're interested.
