Custom Magnetic Daiwa Grandwave 20

This Grandwave 20 is used but is in GREAT CONDITION. Its just been serviced and is SILKY SMOOTH. The reel is loaded with FRESH/NEW 50lb moss green POWER PRO SPECTRA.

What makes this reel unique is the CUSTOM MADE MAGNETIC CASTING SIDEPLATE. The sideplate was designed by professional long distance caster Ryan White (Average cast over 725') from Hatteras Jack custom rods and reels in Avon, North Carolina.

The clicker sideplate is completely removed and replaced by an adjustable magnetic sideplate. Inside the plate is 4 rare earth magnets on a disc which's movement (towards and away from the spool) is controlled by the black twist knob on the outside of the sideplate.

The clicker sideplate is also included with the reel (along with reel clamp, instruction book, and box) just in case you want to replace the magnetic braking sideplate and return to the standard/stock setup (but you probably wont want to after you feel the control of this custom magnetic casting reel).

I have several of these reels. The one I posted a few days ago was BNIB and it sold shortly after it was posted. This one is the only one I have with the magnetic casting sideplate. It is currently pending sale right now...

It really depends on what type of fishing you want to do. I like these on a Pacifica Sabre deckhand style 8' "jig stick." (they sell them at Big 5 (around $45). Its a perfect rod for this reel to fish 20lb. Throw jigs or live bait fish, its pretty versatile and since its blue and silver, the reel matches it perfectly.

If you're interested in a combo, I have an extra one of these rods (still new/un-fished) and can setup you up with a BNIB Grandwave 20 (I checked the statsh and have 1 more I can sell) and the rod for $175 Picked Up (no shipping).
