Does anyone have a review on Promar/Salazar hoop netting seminars?

There's several this weekend and next. I'm wondering it the one at the Bass Pro Shop tomorrow is worth the trek from Long Beach.

They are very informative, I'd definitely recommend them. If you can't make it, check out his book "hooping' it up". Most tackle shops should have it.

There's one in LB on the 29th, saves on gas! Everyone I've talked to says these are the place to be, so I will be going...

You weren't the guy whose wife was yelling at everyone when his ticket number was called..."back off, he's outside and he's on his way back in"? That was hilarious.

Jim's info was detailed and helpful. Some comments from him to think about:

Stuff the bait boxes (I always wondered abt that)
Cut the bait boxes down in size if you think they're too big for your app...
Hoop nets in shallow water for shorter pull intervals...
Conicals in deeper water for longer sets...
Suspend your bait boxes on the hoop nets...

I made it to the 3pm seminar @ BPS. Lots of good information.

The rig that takes helps keep the extra line below the surface is ingenious. If you're gonna pull from a boat, this will help you out alot.

Lots of information about bait holders. I was supprised to learn that bait cages are not as seal proof as all the articles I've read make them out to be.

The most important thing I learned is how to properly measure my catch. I've read about this many times, but actually seeing how to properly do it makes all the difference. There was even a guy from a popular tackle shop who need confirmation on if he was measureing his catch correctly.
