Cool Crystal Cove/Laguna Bch

Does anyone know what is being caught off of Crystal Cove and Laguna Beach? Being new to Kayak fishing, what type of tackle should I use? Thanks for the help. :jig

Corona Del Mar and Crystal Cove are open to fish just don't fish south of Crystal Cove. I have not fished it since June.

Be wary of submerged boilers off of little corona beach. I passed over them with less than three feet to spare my first time out.

fish the kelp area for bass. there are also sculpin in there as well as some wsb (mostly shorts). spectra line helps out alot with cutting the kelp once a fish wraps itself. live bait would be best.

fishing the deeper sandy areas provides alot of white croaker and sanddabs. squid would be best for both of those.
