Halibut gear question

I have a 12-25 mh lamiglass rod paired with a Curado 200e7 spooled with 30 pound spectra and a 15 floro top. Is that appropriate for halibut around Dana point?

Sounds good to me. If your fishing in the kelp you may want to up the braid to #50
