Anyone want to fish DP Wednesday (6/6)
I don't have a fish finder yet so I'm thinking about heading up to the headlands to fish the kelp but I haven't even been up there yet so if I'm alone I'll just figure it out. It looks like Wednesday will be the least windy day this week. I'm thinking about hitting the water at 6, probably launch at the boat ramp unless anyone has any better ideas. I plan on fishing plastics for some more of these... Anyone interested? |

oh, your sleeping in. I plan on fishing weds not sure which direction though. I don't have a hobie PA so I WILL be at the mercy of wind (I'll be off the water by noon).
I'm in a mango malibu. http://www.weather.com/weather/hourb...tbeginIndex=24 I just noticed there is a fishing forecast too, it's supposed to be fair to good on weds! ha ha. http://www.weather.com/outlook/recre...279?dayParam=3 |

I'm sure there will be wind but I just can't wait till it's gone. I've recently started using swellinfo.com's iPhone app. Here's what it says about tomorrow
Not too bad but I agree I'll likely be off by noon. DanaPT, what time are you going to get on the water? I'm down to get there earlier if you're okay with company. |

Hej, Jarred
Would have joined you but I went out 8-12 today instead. Early moderate wind picked up before noon, H2O temp 67.7*F, water very murky, 6' swells with comfortable interval, no bait in water, picked up mediocre bait at barge, nice and sunny. I was too lazy to go north so just visited the pipe, doheny, and harbor. Pipe was good for several nice sandies and juvie wsb. Picked up a short hali at doho before the very large surf drove me away to the harbor. I'll wait 'til Fri and try the headlands. Good luck. Wayne |

DP this last Sunday was one of the most miserable paddles in of my life. The wind current and choppy water made a 30 minute paddle from salt creek to the Marina about 2 hours of grueling nightmare. Fishing deep in the kelp all day kinda fools you. Its alot calmer deep in the forest. Once we left the kelp late afternoon it was apparent we should have payed closer attention to the swell and wind direction

Hey Wayne thanks for the intel.
I did a drive by today down the jetty and while it was windy and there was plenty of swell, it didn't look as bad as I thought it would. Could definitely see how murky the water was though. Here's the updated forecast for tomorrow |
