TacticalFishingCrew Report: 05/12/2012.
Thank you for choosing "Tactical Sportfishing" today. We'll be starting off by drifting for some Rockfish and we'll target some sharks later in the day. We started off with two fishing boats, The Ascend & King Scupper Pro, later followed by Crazy Scrambler. Launched at the harbor by 6am and headed out to our fish hole for some Rockfish: After about 30 mins of paddling we reach our first drift area: I was dropping down a generic Lucanus Jig, dropper loopd with a glow lead head & strip squid. Got a nice tug and set the hook!: First drift, first fish to show: Got bit in the same area bringing this dude up, Croaker: Then a dinky Starry Eyed Rockfish: We wind up our lines to look for a new spot. On my first drop I get a nice tug!: Felt some head shakes & even pulled a little drag! I was expecting a nice 5lb Chuckle, but instead I get two decent size Chuckles!: Then I head to the galley to grab a snack after winding up so many times: Then Vincent finally meets us up: Novice kayak angler David finally lands a Taco Rockfish: With the outgoing tide, you can see the dirty water being flushed out of the harbor. Spotted this cool looking Jellyfish that was well over a foot wide: I get hooked up again on more bottom fish, heres a nice bendo shot: I end up with a nice stringer of Chuckles: We also met a couple of guys when we got back to shore, nice meeting you guys! Son & Justin I believe lol. That pretty much summed up our day, hope you guys enjoyed!

What happened to that mako shot? Also, I looked up "M" street on google maps. Are you guys launching at the public ramp oin the harborside of M Street? Thats what it looks like from the pics. If so, Where do you park? I dont see any parking lots...
Im interested in heading over there this week to try my luck on some T's and or Makos like you guys got into. You guys interested in this type of trip this tuesday 5-15-12? Shoot me a PM. |
