While it would be pretty cool to cruise around with an electric drive in a Hobbie PA, I refuse to put CF numbers on a kayak - and deal with the DMV one more time every year, even if it is just mailing in the registration.

just my opinion
for a pa that has higher buoyancy than some of the other hobies , it looked slow . i installed torqueedo on my outback. one thing for sure it has power. over 4 miles an hour i think , according to gps. powering a fully loaded outback in the ocean . that video was on a calm lake , or pond? sadly i come to realize if you cant make it to destination under man power , than you dont belong out there. it is nice after a long day of paddling as a reserve , but also it is heavy. approxiamately what? 16 pnds total. i was debating on selling it installed on kayak with gps combo ,597 hummingbird. spent around 4500 total. i was hoping to get over two for it. 2010 model yak . pm if anyone is interested? i have a new revo i put on my card im trying to pay off. if anyone wants more information on torqueedo , i can always give more unbiased opinons on product. wasnt cheap , thats for sure. could have bought a used honda for what i spent . lol..i have been reluctant to part with it because its nice if i can convince one of my buddys to go fishing with me.
