Not surprised. It blew up last night as well. Never seen so many foamers. I got a firecracker and pulled the hook on another at color. Good to hear they are getting consistently bigger. It's almost getting to be too easy to catch these things.

Current still ripping?

Good seein' you out there Nelz and Cabman. Mine ran 20# and 14#. Bait everywhere ... but I didn't see any surface action. Decided to stay in tight and shallow (around 70 feet, just south of the hotel) to avoid the upcurrent paddle. Current was ripping until about 7:45 but started to lose steam after that. My guage was reading 70-71 water temp, but it felt colder.

Gorgeous day out there - it sure felt good to pull on a nice fish. Sorry - no pics, no camera.

Arne-
sorry i shoulda played photo beeeyatch for ya.. i didn't think you were done though, it was way, way too early to have 2 sitting in your lap!

i didn't even know it was Cabman.. i thought his yak was yellow?? today he was in something Orange? he had the bendo thing going shortly after Arne!

Andy-
yeah, Skipp's my YT beeeeyatch!! haha!
i let him pull on every fish, he's so amped... i set the hooks on them so believe me, if i set the hook on a fatty he's gonna be watching that one..
at least i didn't have to yell at him so much today.. today he had the style down! i had to take over on one to get it through 3 furbags that were zeroed in on it.....barely got it over the rail in time!

the volume of bait north of the pier in 12' of water was AMAZING this morning!!!

Nice seeing you all out there as well. Picked up the one, 8-10 lber. Would have released it but this was my first time out in about 7 weeks so thought I'd put dinner on the table. I didn't paddle to the pier for bait but picked up seven pieces of spanish pretty quickly just past the cans. Seemed like maybe the fish had a preference for the greenies as I only had the one bite. Lots of nice marks out there and not a whole lot of traffic on the water. Arne, my meter was reading around 70.5 to 71 early up to 72.5 later in the morning. Hopefully I'll get out again in less than 7 weeks.
