Easy launch. Not many boats out today. Slim pickins at the pier unless you tipped with squid. Promised myself I would fish north but the huge bird traffic jam out west drew me. Tons of bait, small medium large, just no YT. Hooked some nice bonito on bait and trolled Rapalla. Current is still rippin' to the south.

Launched at just gray. Took a wave right to the chest on the way out, damn. Ran into tons of bait right out of the reserve on the way north. Quick 2 dozen and I was on my way. Mulled around the pier but all that was biting were bonies. Paddled with Arne up past the reefs and worked the sand. Lots of short bites, one short halibut (21"), a shark, and a guitarfish that had me fooled until the end. Made a full day of it, off the water at 5:00PM.
