A quick trip to Crowley Lake
Last weekend Tim (tagyak), me and a couple of non kayakers made our way up to the Sierras to catch a few trout.
We fished Crowley Lake and only managed a few little rainbows on Saturday along with 4 perch which were a nice appetizer around the campfire later that night. The lake is still full of algae, couple more weeks and it should clear up. The lake level is the highest I have ever seen. Many access points or structure you may know may be underwater. We fished the Owens by Browns that night for steady action on 12-14 inchers. Drive home. Short and sweet. We'll be going back up there in October to get the big boys. |
