The big bay after work 7-11 and 7-12
Fish count day 1 2 rattlers 12 grumpies 5 turd rollers 1 dink checker 2 small flatties 3 lizards Turned out the wife had bunko Tuesday night and the kayak was still on the truck so I left work around 4pm and hit the bay about 4:30pm. Same as the day before but without all the stuff in the water. Wind and current were going the same way and it made the paddle to my spot a little tougher than normal. I got to my spot and it was game on. The current was moving quick so you only got to cast on the spot and present the bait the right way one time before you flew by the spot. It didn't matter much as every cast produced a fish. The spotties were of good quality and fun to catch on the 8lb test. I even pulled a hali out of the spot. It was getting later in the afternoon so I decided to ride the tide back to the beach, fishing along the way. I caught numerous spotties and one hali that was right at 22 inches. Tossed her back to get bigger. Back at the beach at 7:30pm. Enjoyed a good cigar each day and the fishing was great. Just another shitty day in San Diego!!!! Fish count day 2; 19 grumpies 1 turdroller 3 flatties All caught on artificials and all released __________________ |
