Newport, 7-12-11

Well prefishing was interesting to say the least. Met up with Landwhale and Inshorefisher this morning about 6am. The south wind was blowing pretty good and it was chilly. Water temp dropped about 4º this week and the fishing reflected it. Plus, the tide was barely moving early on and after the slack water it stayed slack. It was SLOW today. Steve and Drew did better than me number-wise, but I don't know by how much. Myself, I only had 2 fish. Both were legal, but not big. Quite a few short biters today and I broke off 2 better fish. I pretty much threw the kitchen sink today, but both fish came on a 3" Flurry. Hot Sauce added of course. Hopefully things pick up soon.

Yep.......... Al and I went out this Sunday and it was TOOOUUUGHHHH.

BTW could you guys get the message out as I'm at work and I've been super engaged with the office:

IMPORTANT:; Coast Guard launch officials WILL BEGIN TO GIVE CITATIONS TO PEOPLE WHO PARK THERE BEFORE 6 AM. Straight from one of their people as he was leaving the lot at 5:30 AM ...... Soooooo

Please be curteous, DO NOT make a shit load of noise when you are there early and please park there a little before 6.....we will all appreciate it as we will all be accepted there in the future.

Parking

Ed,

Nope. He said park there a little before six and begin unloading quietly. How early? 10 or 15 minutes???? By the time you are unloaded, it's 6 AM !!!

Tight lines and GOOD LUCK !!
