dragging Marauder jigs

I have a few Yo Zuri Bonito/ marauder type jigs I thought about using from my yak; Has anyone tried trolling with the Marauder type (yo zuri bonito) jigs off the yak? If so, where and what if any results?

I think you may need this to use them effectively.

Marauders are high speed lures.I only use for wahoo and have only caught wahoo on them. Don't think a kayak can get to a speed where lure could work effectively....

Daves right, they are High speed lures. Ive caught Wahoo, YFT, yellows, and Dorado on them when we used to troll them a lot on The Dominator.

Your better off with a Rapala type bait.

the responses

Thanks for all the responses. I figured I wasn't going to get the speed needed for Wahoo but I'm still gonna drag one around on occasion. I'm pretty sure the fish don't know it's for high speed trolling. I just need to find a fish as silly as I am. I know they're out there.

Mostly I was just curious if anyone has already tried trolling with one off a yak.

The reason everybody is telling you that it is made for High speed trolling is because that is where it gets its action that triggers bites.

By all means try it, I think youll find there are better things to troll though. Good luck!
