I am new as well to lobster hopping, also have a new kayak, have also fished most my life but I have always lived in San Diego.
I did try the Mission Bay Area last Sat and got 5 smalls and one legal and learned I NEEDED more bait. I did not like my launch site and need to find a new one as I was forced to an alternative because of parking lot closures at 10 PM of my planned launch area. There are a few public launch ramps, Google Earth is your friend. I will going out again on Friday twilight. Last edited by ctfphoto; 10-07-2011 at 08:36 AM. |

How do you hop lobsters? Jk!
You can always launch at LJS and maybe meet up with some of the BWE crew. What part of the bay did you launch from? |
