I don't peddle a Hobie but thinking about it, why would someone be selling just a used drive? Unless I guess their kayak broke. I would think this would be something you would have to buy new at a kayak shop unless it has been stolen. Just a thought.
I'm shocked someone would rip a kayaker off, especially in broad daylight and have his lady do it. What a shit head! I guess these drives are quite pricey? Makes sense since it is basically the engine that drives the car. |

Spoke to the hobie dealer and they told me alot of people buy spare drives. Later they realize they don't need a spare and sell them.. Also I searched the forum and notice someone else posted a WTB add and had some responses... Just thought I would get lucky..

Last year I got a used one on Craigs list.
The idea that it may be stolen is alwyas in your head. You try to "judge" the person the best you can, ask the right questions. You will likely never know for sure. Boats break, extra drives are not needed, drives that are dumped in the drink at LJ. I bet there is some dude that dives that area regularly and finds ALL kinds of stuff. Good luck with your search. Check the ventura and la posts too. |

I have a spare V-2 Mirage Drive w/Turbo Finns that I might consider selling you. (V-2 is the new model) It has been serviced and its in excellent shape - ready to go.
Its not stolen either. I assume you know what these things cost. http://www.kayakfishingsupplies.com/...e-Drive/Detail Pm me if you want to talk.
