Hooping for Bugs

I was wondering if you guys know this, I tried looking for info, on google but not luck. I am planning to go hooping for bugs.....i heard that some time you can get crab and other critters in it too. Can we keep the crabs too, is there size and limited on them, do we need a permit for crab?
Have you guys been hooping on a kayak yet?

I asked the DFG officer about sculpin (not crab), and he said you can not keep them as netting them is not a legal means of taking the fish.

Now what if you also had a fishing rod on board?

I think that you can still keep the sculpin, if you have a rod and need to show the hook enterie/damage lip if they check you.....been finding lot of nice size sculpin

You'll shoot your eye out!

Plastic kayaks were designed and should only be used in flat water conditions for recreational paddling acivities.

In addition, do not forget to wear a helmet every time you go out.

Lobster hooping from a kayak, you are just asking for trouble!
