My Little Dilema

So I'm planning on moving my FF but I have two issues with the locations where I want to mount the FF. If I mount it just in front of the rod holder I will probably have issues using that rod holder and if I mount it on the gunnel I have an issue with the pull cord for the rudder.

Does anyone have pics of a FF that is NOT mounted on the sail mount of a Hobie Outback with the Mirage Drive. I need some ideas on location, location, location.

hey george,

i have mine mounted on the right side in the tray in front of the rudder pull. i like it there, i have not had any issues with the pull string. i mounted in the tray so that if i needed to remove the ff, the ball mount won't interfere with the surface of the kayak.
next time we fish you can take a better look at it.

I had an outback before my revo and here is what I did...
does not affect the pull cords inside...
does not impeed the use of the rod holder..
is close enough to reach...
and, like the bus kid said, you can still paddle if need be, like in the thick kelp...
