I have a solution to your LA Jolla woes of not catching Cbss or YT...
do like I do...
fish close to home...
the results are the same! no cbass or YT! but lots of bass 'n' RF

you'll git 'um one of these days!

Hang in there.I was two years and 25 trips in before I caught anything other than bonito,barracuda bass and bait.

That's right! Been hitting for up for nothing to bring home. My wife even asked me im I seeing someone else because there is no fish. I just tell don't worry my day will come
