Congratulations on that yellow.

After reading your post the first thing that came to mind was....
-Why not fire that jig at the the breaking yellows ?

When opportunity knocks be ready to pull the trigger. Just imagine how that double would have felt.

Either way you had an epic day and a fresh dose of motivation.

Nice fish! From my experience, when you put pressure on yourself to catch, the fish somehow sense it and it's hard to get bit. As soon as you are in the mindset of "just out for a nice leisurely stroll on the kayak", that's when you get hammered. It happens almost everytime for me.

Great fish, it will taste so much better knowing that you secured it for your family. Great job!
