A person walking along the top of the caves just north of La Jolla Cove fell to their death on Monday evening.
Lifeguards said they arrived and found the individual on the rocks at the bottom of the cave. The 911 call came in shortly before 5 p.m. According to police, the person who called 911 saw the victim fall into the cave.
The name of the victim will not be released until the family is notified. Police and lifeguards are still investigating the cause of the fall.
