I know that pain, I did that to my knee skiing 10 years ago. I watch the lower part of my leg go one way and the top part the other. I got to ride on a snow mobile afterward. Get better soon man, hopefully surgery is not needed, it wasn't for me.

Talk about pain I hate that part, but though I start out hardly able to bend it at all by the end I have full range of motion, and that makes a hell of a difference in how my day goes. Glad you took that the right way Jim. All in good fun.
I had knee surgury after falling into a hole on a construction site a few years ago. I needed a piece of plywood and it was either walk to the other end of the jobsite or pick one up that was laying on the ground. I forgot they were covering up holes for the footings of the building. I picked up the piece of plywood and blinded by it on the side I was carrying it, I walked right into the hole. I landed 6' down on a 2 1/2" bolt knees first and split the cartilage in one knee. 3 days later I was water skiing and kneeboarding. You should be fine. Good luck.

rest, ice, compression, elevation. for the first week. 3-4 times a day. then after the first week - alternate treatments of ice for 15 min. per hour, and then moist heat for 15 min. per hour. I wouldn't recommend forcibly stretching it right now. If there are any micro tears you will be developing scar tissue in the area. It needs to heal with rest. Your normal range of motion movements should be enough to prevent it from stiffening up. That swelling needs to reduce. I've had your injury before, it took awhile before I was back in the game. Set the time aside to heal properly. ---------------------------------------- Right now I'm dealing with a tendon injury that has put the brakes on everything. ![]() I'm in Fisherman Hell staring at a garage full of equipment, kayak, and skiff.

OW! OW! OW!, Jim , That looks nasty! take it slow and easy. I feel for ya, got knee problems myself(need knee joint replacement,doc says lose some weight then cut cut cut).....
