you cant fish the surfline at the LJ launch,if that is where you saw them.

Saw them in Carlsbad, at the power plant, was surfing in in only 2ft of water and saw at least 3 leopards, between 3-4 feet, looke awesome in 2ft or less of water, figured they must be eating sand crabs, that would be a fun fight, probly just let em go after that, they are beautiful.

They love a nice fat lively barred surf perch if you can catch one and re-rig.
