Commissioner Richard Rogers/Pacific Earth Resources/Pacific Sod/Pacific Arbor Nursery

Just learned that DFG Commissioner Richard Rogers owns Pacific Earth Resources, Pacific Sod and Pacific Arbor Nurseries in Camarillo.

Hopefully jackweed Rogers won't get reappointed to the Fish & game Commission, but in the meantime if anyone is considering installing a sod lawn, make sure to avoid any brands from Pacific Sod. Medallion, Medallion Plus, Medallion Dwarf, Excalibre, PennBlue, NoMow, GN-1, and Sunclipse are some of Pacific Sod's varieties. Likewise for plants from Pacific Arbor Nurseries.

If I see any of his crap for sale at my local retailers, I'll be sure to voice my opinion politely to management. I won't be supporting any garden center that does business with a Rogers owned company.

Doesn't the fertilizer and pesticides used by sod growers wind up in the ocean. Why, yes it does. This prick's sod farms probably kill more ocean life than all the kayak fisherman in California. Thanks, DICK!

I have it on good authority that Rogers' companies have been fined - multiple times - for violating environmental regulations. Maybe a crack internet researcher will get the details...

If we could find some dirt on Dick Rogers quickly that might be enough to get him black balled from his future appointed DFG position.

Flush him down Jerry Brown...Dick Rogers is gonna give you and your office a black eye.
**I hope Richard Rogers has to reapply for the position online. I'd like to know how he answers questions #21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30, 31 & 33 on the e application?!
Sounds like material misrepresentation and/or bold face lies to me.

Thats the problem in a nutshell......

Richard Rogers is a hack.
Hack: a professional who renounces or surrenders individual independence, integrity, belief, etc., in return for money or other reward in the performance of a task normally thought of as involving a strong personal commitment.

Richard and Elizabeth Rogers Have contributed umpteen thousand dollars to the Republican party for decades and that is why they are both Arnold appointees.Elizabeth contributes to both parties. They have benefited financially very well from insider contracts also over the decades.. If we had a governor that protected recreational fishing rights so also would Rogers. If we have a governor that opposes recreational fishing so would Rogers.

Arnold wanted the MLPA to be his legacy, so of course Rogers supported that.
Brown might appoint a hack or worse - a full blown enviro wacko...
Hopefully Governor Brown will include the MLPA in his supposedly massive budget cuts and buy us some time

Make no mistake , Fishermen vs Enviro's is a small portion of your neck that is being strangled here.
This is about Conservative vs Liberal. And Republican doesnt mean Conservative...Liberal almost always means wacko.
This is about "The Commissioners' ultimate decisions reflecting the wishes, needs and desires of all those who enjoy these resources with the interest, understanding and involvement of everyone who appreciates our magnificent fish and wildlife resources" vs hacks.

Choose your candidates wisely...

Thus endeth my sermon.....

This fiasco...

Has cost them dearly and will continue to do so. Damn I wish I had went to Law School...;

Multiple violations for Mr. Rogers' neighborhoodwink.

Hey, uh, Mr. Rogers, is it ok if I call you Dick?

Anyway, do you think it is ok to pollute the air, after all, it won't have any damaging effects on the ocean, will it?

Dick, do you understand what Conflict of Interest means?

Dick, did you get any kickback for not only showing up at the meetings, but being the deciding vote?

And, Dick, would you be willing to provide your financial records, including gifts, write-offs, meals provided, etc...?

And, Dick, would you say your business is compliant with CA regulations?

Dick, would you say that you most represent this fair and open process, with an unbiased agenda, in spite of the fact that you are associated with a business (or businesses) that routinely do not abide by CA EPA guidelines?

Last but not least, did you think it was in the best interests of the common taxpayer to foot the bill for the presence of multiple DFG wardens at the meetings being that the whole purpose of the MLPA meetings was to ensure the management of fisheries and the protection of said fisheries, and did any of these DFG personnel act in any capacity as escorts, bodyguards, protection, as you left the meeting?

arnold is a complete POS too..

http://www.nctimes.com/news/local/sd...92a6e8142.html

The father of slain Mesa College student Luis Santos told a Los Angeles radio station Wednesday that he is strongly considering suing former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and the state.
Fred Santos told KNX 1070 radio that he believes it was his family's constitutional right as victims to be notified prior to Schwarzenegger commuting the prison sentence from 16 to seven years of Esteban Nunez ---- one of the people who pleaded guilty in the death of Santos' son, Luis Santos.
Instead, Schwarzenegger commuted the sentence of 22-year-old Fabian Nunez on Dec. 31 -- his last day in office -- then sent the Santos family a letter that arrived last Saturday.
Nunez, son of former Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, resulting from a knife fight near San Diego State in 2008 in which Luis Santos was killed.
Co-defendant Ryan Jett, 25, also pleaded guilty and was sentenced to the same maximum 16 years in state prison. Nunez asked that his sentence be shortened on the grounds that he received the same penalty as Jett, although Jett was the one who stabbed Santos and Nunez had not actually killed anyone.
"Essentially the context of the letter is to give some excuses on (Schwarzenegger's) actions with an apology," Santos said.
He went on to say he believed the apology came only due to the media attention that the case received.
"It's 100 percent politics and nothing but, and he's just trying to pass it off as something other than politics, and I think everyone else in California can see (it)," Santos said.
Both the San Diego district and city attorneys also recently spoke out against Schwarzenegger's decision, accusing him of undermining justice.
"Esteban Nunez -- the son of former Assembly speaker Fabian Nunez -- is a criminal who was sentenced by an experienced and well-respected Superior Court judge," City Attorney Jan Goldsmith said. "Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger reduced the sentenced by over half to help his political crony's son. In doing so, he undermined the judicial system and has jeopardized public safety."
Fabian Nunez, a Democrat, served as Assembly speaker from 2004 to 2008. He also is a business partner of the former governor's top political adviser at the consulting firm Mercury Public Affairs, according to media reports.
