I will be trying out my new kayak, 2011 Hobie TurboDrive ES. This boat is sweet. Anybody else? See you there. Matt |

Good luck on your bird hunt....you murderer! Those little innocent creatures. You should practice S&R (Shoot and release)
I'm taking my boy so I didn't want to bug you or Tim. |

I just called the lake and they said it's closed to kayaks and float tubes. Safety issue: water is spilling over the dam....damn!

I wish I woulda saw this before driving to the Vine today!
my first time givin' it a whirl and I got shot down hard... NO KAYAKS! fookers! and, the water looks like red chocolate milk... you cant even see 1" into the water.... there were 40 or 50 baitfishermen along the shore... all crammed into one small area because the roads are all closed... and I only saw one fish caught in three hours... I hucked a kasmaster, a rapala, and a rattling gizmo for nada.... I don't know much about muddy water troutin', but, untill that water clears up...I'd say fish elswhere... or target bass... anyone know how to fish that lake in the muddy water? we're listening.... |

Crap Yakrider, you confirmed what I was thinking of. I hope that it settles down enough by Tue? They did open up the lake to kayaks, tubes and boats by late afternoon on Monday. I'm still gonna try in the morning. Promised my boy that we will try out his new "StarWars" pole he got from Santa.
I just need ONE fish! |
