La Jolla Kayak Fishing Where?

Hello,

I am from Los Angeles and have never been to La Jolla. Can anyone provide me with a good parking area and a launch point for my kayak? I also understand that there is an area that i can not fish in La Jolla.

Thank you so much. I usually just go to Marina Del Rey and Newport Beach, but next week we have been furloughed so i thought it would be a good time to go to La Jolla before January and February hit.

if ure going in the daytime, park in the main beach parking lot. if you go at night you can just park at the 15 minute loading zone right next to the launch (you can park there legally from 7pm-8am or something like that) The kayak launch is at the south side of the beach in between 2 hotels. u cant miss it, just look for all the rental kayaks. and yes there is a reserve area at la jolla that you cant fish. just paddle straight out like 1/4 mile and you'll see a few yellow bouys that mark the reserve.

Google La Jolla Shores Hotel and you'll find it, the launch is off/on Avenida De La Playa. If you look at the satellite view you'll be able to see where the beach launch is, its extremely easy to find.
