Trout @ irvine lake

Fished trout at Irvine lake this past sunday, and got....not quick but easy limits on the yak. Here's how it went....Got to the lake early, and the wind was blowing out of the east at 20 to 25kts. The lake staff wouldn't allow any boats/kayaks on the lake for at least an hour and a half. So got a late start...trolled up and down the west shore and dam area for nothing, not even a bite. 1:00 rolls around and all of a sudden it's on!!! Landed 5 fish by 2:30 and lost just as many, all on the troll. Biggest fish weighed 7lb 8oz at the tackle shop scale, it really looked like an 8 or 9...it did...really!!!and another weighed about 4 1/2, and the rest were in the 3lb class. Really fun day at the vine!!!

Sorry no pictures...camera batteries died....going to be fishing irvine hard this season, will be back after the OEX tournament...

Tony.

It's $22 dollars entry and $5 dollars for kayak, and no inspection hassle apparently irvine is already infested with mussels so no problem there....Good luck! Its going to be fun!!!
